Just across the bridge from San Diego is Tidelands Park in Coronado. As you cross the bridge you’ll see the park to your right, stay in the right lane and take the first right to get there. Plenty of parking and things to do for all ages. In fact, we’ve been to Tidelands so many times for so many purposes that you can effectively use Tidelands as a vacation boredom buster. There’s a long walking path along the bay that offers great views of San Diego. You can fish from the rocks, small pier, or small beach. You can rent kayaks or bikes. You can hang out in the generous playground area. Or bring a picnic and find a spot. I love Tidelands in the morning. Get there before dawn and see amazing views, appreciate the quiet, and watch the city wake up.
